| well, school's over!!!!!!!! woohoo! i didn't cry during graduation and i was very proud of my composure.. i cried afterward though.. i'll really miss Mrs. Ford and Mrs. Terry.. they were my favorite teachers, and i don't have those very often.. but it's all good. i passed math, i get my SAT scores in a week, and i'm going to China in a few days! for visas and such. then i get to go to the states for a month, visiting colleges and wutnot.. i'm excited.. anybody wanna visit me in Florida? feel free!~luvv | | |
| the weather is amazingly perfect rite now!! and it was for all of the spring sale, which was such a blessing. it had rained all nite, but this morning there wasn't a cloud in the sky! the whole shebang went fairly well.. we ran out of cheese, bought too much ketchup, but it went fairly smoothly. i still ended up working in the kitchen. eh. but i had fun. i actually got a slight tan. i have a watch and an anklet mark now.. i'm exhausted tho and i have 2 tests and buncha hw for tomorrow. ugh. phooey. but schools starts at 10!!!!! yippee joy. | | |
| so, it all started when i received an anonymous note from a secret admirer on monday. or was it tuesday? o well, anyways. it said that this person would like to ask me, but he's waiting for the "opportune moment" so i shouldn't say yes to anybody else. HA, like anybody would ask me anyways, but. the note came with a York mint pattie. i LOVE mint patties. i'd said yes in my heart already. well, no news for 4 (or was it 3) days. everybody kept hinting and wutnot, i kinda guessed who it was, but i was thrown off by evil people several times. so friday, mrs. koning tells me i'm supposed to make an announcement about the banquet at assembly. i was like, huh? ok. sure i guess. so i get up there. and hyun seung is following me with a bouqet of carnations. i'm just like, o great, wut now?.. so i make my announcement, i'm sure no one's reeli listening cuz they're all wondering what charlie's doing up there.. then at the end of my, what i thought was beautiful, speech, josiah parkhurst comes up the aisle, gives me a little speech about the significance of the flowers, and gets on one knee and asks me to the banquet. it was very very sweet. *awwww* of course i answered i'd love to and yadayadayada..
and so i was asked in front of the entire upper school yesterday. it was quite an adventure. altho i had a wicked comeback, if i was possessed at the time and wanted to refuse him. "How dare you embarrass me in front of all these people???!!!" *slap* *walk away* wouldn't that have been horrible? *muhahaha* but don't worry, i didn't. i was a good girl. i said yes. gosh, now i feel like a conformist. somebody slap me.
btw. i left the flowers at the Gilbert's house. sarah's party was wonderful. we had tea at 4:00, we got all dressed up and went out to eat at this adorable place. i was dubbed official make-up-er and i made Xin Yan's and Bethany's eyes look bee-yoo-tee-full!!! i'm very proud of my handiwork. then we watched nanny mcphee and i cooed at all the lovely children, how cute they were, how sweet, yadayadayada. we played freeze, and i actually participated for the first time in my life. i enjoyed it. we had pancakes for breakfast, made Wu Hao a happy birthday video (full of laughs and giggles) and then all went home. typical, yet so refreshingly fun! | well. it's been a long time, fellow bloggers. not that there's that many ppl left.. we must stand and fight. xanga is still the cool thing of the 2002-2006 years.. *sniffles* don't mind me. i just have something in my eye. *outright bawling* xanga is dying.. dying i tell you..
anyways. budapest was simply amazing.. i had soooo much fun.. i saw some ppl i met at the leadership thingy in the fall, saw bunch of imb mk's, and met tons of cool new ppl.. i wish we were all still there rehearsing and goofin off.. it reeli was a great experience.. i reeli wish i could go next year, but with going to the states this summer and senior trip next year, i'll prolly (highly likely) go broke so.. anyways.. i have tons of make-up work which is crazy cuz i only missed 3 days.. but wutever. school's dumb. i'll try to put some pix up later. but if not go to www.myspace.com/gracie.kiwi and u'll find that everything is revealed there.
